I just got this for $0.99 on eBay:

It’s going to look pretty cool on top of my Baby Pac-Man when I get around to finishing it. There’s a 7-11 down the street from me. I think I’m going to head there at lunch time and see if they’ll give me a free refill.

I saw other cups in this series before on eBay. I should have bid on them…I think there was a Donkey Kong and a couple other games. I’ll have to keep an eye out for those now.

If you know anything about these cups, please educate me, cuz I be needin’ some o’ that there ed-ja-ma-kay-shun. We ain’t much for fancy book learnin’ in these parts.

I just realized that I never really mentioned how I got my arcade collecting illness. Boy, are you in for a treat.

I mentioned a few years ago to my Wife (girlfriend back then) that my two favorite arcade games were Ms. Pac-Man and Galaga, and that it would be cool to have one of those in the house someday.  So…on Christmas of 2003 she got me this:

Now, this was very cool and all, but I was not yet stricken with the bug causing me to fill up every square inch of available space in my house and garage with arcade stuffs. It stood alone in our living room for almost 3 full years.

Hello there. I just got some Stargate stencils from Brian at Oleszak Creative in the mail. I had some music on a little loud while working, and didn’t hear the doorbell. My mailman NEVER uses the doorbell, but I guess he finally spotted it. I did hear him practically beating down the door a minute later however.

These are going to be saved for the future….for a day in which I have an empty garage to work in and loads of time on my hands. My Stargate is semi dead, and in the garage as a project game. I bought these same stencils before for my Moon Patrol and they worked great. I’ll be sure to post pics when I use them, but it’s going to be awhile.

When you abuse “quotes”, placing them around “words” and “phrases that shouldn’t be quoted”, sometimes silly things happen. Check this ad out we spotted at a Newport Creamery:

Look in the lower right corner….Earth & Turf? Now, take a good look at that burger and tell me the “Earth” is not there representing “Earthworms”! Mmm….that burger is wriggling with tasty goodness.

Hey there.

We had a busy weekend. Yesterday, we went to a birthday party for our niece at a place called TeamWorks in Warwick RI. They have a section for kids parties, a bar upstairs, and indoor soccer and basketball fields. I’m not into sports at all, so that last part doesn’t really interest me.

They also had a handful of arcade games. I had my camera to take pictures of the party, so I snapped some of their arcade games. Nothing spectacular, but Arctic Thunder is very cool (buy me one two, please).

Hey guys. Sorry for the lack of posts…I’ve been working like crazy on ACTUAL work. I plan on working all weekend. Hopefully I can get my current project out and take a short break soon. In the meantime, here’s a video I spotted on RetroBlast.com. This is NOT the Mario I remember…someone has anger management issues!

This 404 error was SO great I had to frame it:

Anyone that has visited RGVAC or the KLOV.com forums in the past few months or so must know about this guy. I got taken by him as well. I ordered some chips back in early January and he refused to ship, reply, or issue a refund. Supposedly at one time he was a valuable resource, but he certainly isn’t anymore. I filed a claim with PayPal. They sided in my favor, but couldn’t obtain funds to give me a refund because he drained his PayPal account. This in my opinion is outright theft.

This was a regular occurrence for him the past 18 months or so. He would stop shipping orders for a couple of months, then come out from hiding with a lame excuse. He repeated this behavior on and off for awhile, and I should have known better than to order from him. What made it worse was that his site, up until very recent, was online - ready and waiting to scam others. Today however, I was greeted with the glorious 404 error you see above.

Hello there. Back in February, I got me some Pac-Man skates. Alas, they were missing laces. I figured it would be cool to put some Pac-Man laces in them, and finally found some on eBay:

Oh, man…it’s been awhile since I’ve posted. Guess time flies when you aren’t having fun. I should be able to post a little more frequently when my current work project is finally complete.

I picked up 3 marquees (well…2 marquees and a CPO). They were all advertised on eBay as marquees, and I snagged them for $20.

I *think* the Puck-Man is legit. I will sell it to you for $500. “The Climber” must be a bootleg of “Crazy Climber”, but I can’t find any more info about it. If you know anything more, please comment.

The DK CPO is in really good shape…it has some small scratches on the surface that I can probably buff out. That’s the only piece here that I’ll actually use on a game. I know have a cabinet, CPO, and sideart for that project. At some point, I’m going to buy a PCB, marquee, bezel, and new controls and put it all together.

Jeff at RotheBlog.com got some more info on the Moon Patrol bezel repro that Rich at ThisOldGame.com has been working on. It looks like its getting closer to being a reality. Awhile back I scanned in the bezel and vectorized it. Rich has been working to get it printed, along with a lot of other projects. See this page for an update.
