Greetings and salutations. I haven’t written in a few days, because I haven’t had anything exciting to talk about (and I’m lazy). I got word today that my new Baby Pac-Man cabinet *should* be here on Friday. I’m not holding my breath, but that’s at least promising.

I shot a short video tour of our arcade with my digital camera. I figured it would be cool to be able to show people what it looks like if you were actually here. Check it out:

I just found this on BoingBoing.net…for those that haven’t seen it – Vanhalen was touring in NC and as the last song they did “Jump”. The synthesizer parts were prerecorded, and were somehow played back at the wrong bit rate, causing them to be at the wrong pitch. What results is a nasty sounding mess…it’s absolutely horrible. Go ahead and puke. Might as well puke.

I’m a big fan of Infocom games from the 80s. Yes, I’m a geek. This guy that I’ve never heard of until today – MC Frontalot – has a new “nerdcore” song and video all about Infocom:

Nothing new in arcade land to report today. I just spotted a link to this video on BoingBoing.net…haven’t seen it in ages. It may be time to signup for this.

OK…this is too cool. This guy developed an interactive robot thingy. It has cameras in each eye and a microphone for a nose. Here it is dancing to a song by Spoon.

It does more than dance though…it will react to you. I must have this thing. Buy me one NOW!
