This sounds pretty cool…it’s amazing how much old arcade game culture is sneaking into modern entertainment these days.

NASA to Announce Success of Long Galactic Hunt
WASHINGTON — NASA has scheduled a media teleconference Wednesday, May 14, at 1 p.m. EDT, to announce the discovery of an object in our Galaxy astronomers have been hunting for more than 50 years. This finding was made by combining data from NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory with ground-based observations.
Click that first link above for info on how you can listen to the press conference. My money is on an announcement that they’ve discovered a new moon orbiting around Star Jones. (I can make fat jokes, because I am currently a member of that very exclusive club!)
When you abuse “quotes”, placing them around “words” and “phrases that shouldn’t be quoted”, sometimes silly things happen. Check this ad out we spotted at a Newport Creamery:

Look in the lower right corner….Earth & Turf? Now, take a good look at that burger and tell me the “Earth” is not there representing “Earthworms”! Mmm….that burger is wriggling with tasty goodness.
This 404 error was SO great I had to frame it:
Anyone that has visited RGVAC or the KLOV.com forums in the past few months or so must know about this guy. I got taken by him as well. I ordered some chips back in early January and he refused to ship, reply, or issue a refund. Supposedly at one time he was a valuable resource, but he certainly isn’t anymore. I filed a claim with PayPal. They sided in my favor, but couldn’t obtain funds to give me a refund because he drained his PayPal account. This in my opinion is outright theft.
This was a regular occurrence for him the past 18 months or so. He would stop shipping orders for a couple of months, then come out from hiding with a lame excuse. He repeated this behavior on and off for awhile, and I should have known better than to order from him. What made it worse was that his site, up until very recent, was online - ready and waiting to scam others. Today however, I was greeted with the glorious 404 error you see above.

Hey! I got a new computer this weekend, and I still don’t have it setup completely yet. I’m running Vista now instead of Windows XP and I feel like a newbie.
I figured I might as well update NoiseLandArcade.net while I was at it, so I just upgraded to WordPress 2.5.0. If you see anything screwy going on as a result, please let me know via a comment.
How do I know? Because I’m posting twice in one day!
I made a few small changes to the site. If you look that-a-way===>, you’ll notice that I’ve split the categories into 2 sections. Games, and Other Stuff. I figured it made a little more sense split into sections like that. I did have the games listed under “Our Games”, but doing that makes it difficult to categorize posts about games that we don’t own so I dropped the “Our”. When I obtain every game on the planet I’ll change it back to “Our Games”.
Another change is the addition of a Digsby Widget.
“What’s a Digsby Widget?” you might ask? To me, it sounds like the name of a “well to do” bachelor from Hyannisport. Hello! Nice to meet you! Digsby Widget, of the Hyannisport Widgets…pleasure to make your acquaintance.
In actuality, Digsby is a new multi-protocol IM client that I’ve been trying out. So far it seems to work pretty well. They give you the option of creating widgets which are basically flash based chat applications you can put on any web page. Any visitor (you, perhaps?) can now chat with me if I’m online by typing in that there widget, which appears in the navigation to the right, just below the Other Stuff category section. It’s not a chat room thing, so no one else will see what you type except for me, my cats, and an occasional wife.
I can sense your mouse moving that way now….I’m so excited….

Hey. I have some really bad news to report today. The wife and I had a big blowout last night over the space my games are taking up, and all the money I keep blowing on them. She’s about had it, and it’s to the point that either the games go, or I go. 
She wants them out ASAP, so they are all up for grabs. I can’t make my money back unfortunately with this short notice, so I’m letting them go dirt cheap. I would prefer if someone could take them all. If you can, let me know via a comment to this post. I’m flexible on price, but I’m thinking maybe $500 for all of them so I can get her out of my hair as quick as possible. This really sucks guys.

I have nothing arcade related to report today. I am sorry to let you down. I am working on a very cool project that I got for my birthday, and will post about it when it’s complete. I’m going to need some more parts for it, so unfortunately I can’t write about it for at least a week or so.
