Payphone Project Part III
Uncategorized December 1st, 2009I just got the TELEPHONE plexi sign from Brian at GameStencils.com. It is beyond awesome:
Here you can see how the white is 3D. It sticks out about 1/16″:
Here’s some pics of it lit. My camera doesn’t do it justice:
I decided to leave the top open, so it is a bit like a sconce. Now I just need to restore the phone and I should be done with this.

This is exquisite! I collect phones and am going to see if my husband can make something like this. It is so beautiful.

Just a little computer illiterate….didn’t quite get the concept on the live chat thing.
I have your payphone project bookmarked so I can look at it from time to time. I’m obsessed about phones the same way you are about arcade games. By the way, I could not believe you and your wife made that baby Pac Man figure. It’s adorable!!!!! I think I read that you designed the telephone sign. Is that something Game Stencils will sell to anyone, or something one could buy through you. It is really striking. Just wondering.

Hi Judy,
Thanks!
I made the graphics file for the sign in Adobe Illustrator, and Brian at GameStencils.com took that file and made it into the sign you see above. I don’t know if he could sell you one or not, I’d recommend emailing him to see. I have no problem with you using the same design. If he wants to do it and doesn’t have the file anymore I can send it to him if needed.
