TeamWorks Arcade Games
Real Arcades May 5th, 2008Hey there.
We had a busy weekend. Yesterday, we went to a birthday party for our niece at a place called TeamWorks in Warwick RI. They have a section for kids parties, a bar upstairs, and indoor soccer and basketball fields. I’m not into sports at all, so that last part doesn’t really interest me.
They also had a handful of arcade games. I had my camera to take pictures of the party, so I snapped some of their arcade games. Nothing spectacular, but Arctic Thunder is very cool (buy me one two, please).

You know, it really sucks that most arcades (like the ones in malls) have all closed down. Even in Japan, ten years ago there were arcades on just about every street corner. Now a lot of them have closed and the ones that are still open only have stuff like medal games (coin pushers), the cranes (they call them UFO catchers) and this thing that’s like Guitar Hero but with drums.

Yeh, I agree. Most arcades suck, with the exception of a handful of those that are purposely trying to make them what they used to be.

I think most of the good arcades are in people’s basements at this point…

Yeah…there are so many people that have them. Never realized that until I started mine.
