Pac-Man For Trade?
Pac-Man July 31st, 2007I just picked up another Pac-Man today. ![]()

I don’t really need 2, so I’m planning on getting rid of this one. I’m looking to see if anyone is interested in trading this for another classic.
I’ll describe it the best I can, followed by pics. It has Pac-Man Plus roms in it. It’s complete, and seems to play fine as far as the game board is concerned. Sound seems OK. The joystick is screwy, but it can be easily fixed. I looked at it quickly and one leaf switch was missing a leaf.
The game has it’s original power supply…not a switcher.
The cabinet is typical for it’s age. It’s not perfect, but it’s better than some I’ve seen. It has some scratches here and there, and no water damage. I’ve taken detailed pics of the side that you can zoom in on to see the condition.
Someone put corner protectors on it. They also painted 2 black stripes on the front. I guess they were going for a bumblebee look.
The monitor is blurry, and could probably stand a cap kit.
If you have any questions about it let me know. Clicking any one of those pictures will take you to that picture in my Flickr album. There are more pics in there than shown here. The album name is “Pac-Man (#2) for trade”. If you are interested in a trade or want to come see it please send me an email: jamie@ldev.com.
As for games I’d be interested in:
Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong JR.
Mario Bros
Q*bert
Frogger
Simpsons Arcade
Simpsons Bowling
other suggestions welcome?
This is really just a feeler. If no one is interested in a trade, I will probably fix it up and put it on ePay.
OH…and I am in Westerly, RI. This would be pickup only.

This looks pretty nice. Just curious, are you sure it has Pac-man Plus in it? I thought Plus had a large black add-on board with an auxiliary cable. Overall this would be a great clean ‘er upper.

Just can’t pass up a deal eh? Hope you’re able to trade it for something you want. I’m still anxiously waiting for you to finish up your first pac-man so I can learn from all of your mistakes when I do mine :).

Hey Gunbu,
Thanks for commenting.
It definitely looks like Pac-Man Plus. When you eat a power pellet the ghosts are shorter with that flag thing sticking out the top of their head. It also shows a coke can instead of a cherry. I haven’t bothered fixing the joystick, so I couldn’t play it enough to get past the first maze.

Hey Mark,
Yeah, I can’t pass them up yet but I will have to at some point unless I move.
I got one offer from RGVAC for a trade and am waiting for pics to decide on it. I thought maybe I could use this cabinet instead of painting mine, but I would rather finish mine up and make it look brand new.

I don’t understand…this Pac-man is in bad enough condition but with full enough sideart that you would trade it, and keep your original Pac-man project to stencil? Is that the idea? Instead of keeping this one and giving up on the stencil project…

Hey Jeff,
I did end up trading this one. Because I got so far on restoring my Pac-Man, I really want to finish it. I saw this one and it was way too good a deal to pass up. I bought it thinking that if the sideart was great I’d keep it, otherwise I could trade it or sell it and make a little on the deal. The art on this wasn’t horrible, but I really want a mint looking one. If you don’t think about the art itself, my cabinet is in much better shape than this one was.
